Lowell Aplebaum, CAE, Next Connextion

Lowell Aplebaum, CAE, is the CEO of Next Connextion – a company working with associations on value-focused approaches to organizational vision, strategy development, and membership/volunteer practices. He authored the chapter on emerging trends in ASAE’s Membership Essentials 2nd edition and served as Co-executive Editor and Contributing Author for the Component Relations Handbook 2nd edition. He currently serves on the overseeing commission for the Certified Association Executive certification, and chaired ASAE’s Task Force on CEO Pathways. His work on global efforts for associations has included experience across five continents, hundreds of volunteer groups, and all 50 states in the United States.  Check out Lowell’s article on networking.

Francine Butler, PhD., CAE, Empressa Consulting

Francine Butler PhD CAE CMP, is President of Empressa Consulting Ltd., providing associations and boards with guidance on best practices for association management. She is especially interested in small association issues and credentialing. She is a Past President of CSAE and was President and CEO Of the Resource Center for Associations, an association management firm in Denver. She also served as Executive Director of the AMC Institute for 2 years.

Nancy Erickson, MBA, CAE, Erickson & Associates Consulting, LLC

With over thirty years’ experience as an association professional in national health care membership societies and voluntary nonprofit organizations, Nancy now provides education and association management services through her consulting firm.  Concentrating in agency administration, Board development and management, strategic planning, program and product development, and conference program development, Erickson has consulted with state and national associations to help them enhance current board and program practices through assessment and development.

KiKi L’Italien, Amplified Growth, LLC

KiKi L’Italien is CEO and founder of Amplified Growth, a digital marketing consultancy specializing in SEO, social media, and content strategy for associations and for-profit clients. Since 2009, KiKi has hosted Association Chat, an online Twitter community and weekly interactive live streaming interview and podcast with quarterly in-person events.

Bennett Napier, CAE, Partners in Association Management

Bennett Napier is a Certified Association Executive with over twenty-five years experience in association and organizational management. His specialty is in board relations, grassroots efforts, and regulatory affairs. He is a past winner of the “Association Professional of the Year” from the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives and “Executive of the Year” from the Florida Society of Association Executives. He served as President of TSAE and is a past Chairman of the Board for FSAE and the FSAE Foundation. He currently serves on the Key Committee with the American Society of Association Executives, the executive committee of the AMC Institute, and the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce.

Scott Oser, Scott Oser Associates

Scott Oser has over 20 years of marketing experience in the association and publishing industries. Before starting the Scott Oser Associates, he worked for market leaders like National Geographic Society, AARP, and Science. Throughout his career Scott has excelled in developing, implementing and analyzing multi-channel direct marketing programs. He is highly skilled in creating effective membership, marketing, and sales programs with the ability to align resources and operations to consistently achieve and exceed goals.

Reggie Rivers

Reggie Rivers is a former NFL running back who played six seasons with the Denver Broncos during the 1990s. Reggie is a media personality and business owner, who has worked in newspaper, radio and television in Denver. He graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Journalism, and he earned a Master’s Degree in Global Studies from the University of Denver. He has written five books, the latest is the award winning novel, “The Colony: A Political Tale”. 

Tina Sampson, Vice President of Sales, Vail Resorts

As Vice President of Sales for Vail Resorts, Tina Sampson oversees all mountain resort sales teams, international and transient wholesale teams. Tina has held several executive positions over the past 21 years with companies such as top hotel companies such as Hyatt and Gaylord. She has worked in executive leadership roles with Additionally, Tina was the Senior Vice President for Experient and Maritz Travel Company. She also facilitates the Vail Resorts Women in Leadership program for Vail Resorts.

Adrienne Segundo, IOM, Limitless Association Solution Resource, LLC

Adrienne Segundo is chief operating officer and chairman of Limitless Association Solution Resource. She has more than 15 years of experience in the association industry. Prior to Limitless, she served as director of credentialing and operations for the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting and has extensive experience in exam development, ANSI-ISO 17024 accreditation, NCCA accreditation, and advance credentialing and marketing of credentials. She is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management program and holds the credentialing specialist certification from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.

Keith Segundo, Limitless Association Solution Resource, LLC

Keith Segundo is chief executive officer and president of Limitless Association Solution Resource. He has more than 15 years of experience in the association industry; specializing in niche areas of association growth to including: Membership, Non-Dues Revenue, Marketing, Accreditation Counseling and Certification/Certificate Program development. Keith has also worked with many state and national associations alike and has extensive experience with volunteer and staff development.

Thad Lurie, CIP, CAE, Chief Operating Officer, EDUCAUSE

Thad Lurie is chief operating officer for EDUCAUSE and leads the association’s functions relating to membership, marketing, conferences and events, content, and information technology. He has served as managing director at Old Town IT, an association-focused consulting firm, where he provided organizational leadership and vision around operational management, strategic planning, hiring, process and product development, resource allocation, and change management. He is an active speaker and author for ASAE and other organizations, and recently served as the Chair of the ASAE Technology Council.
