What CSAE Is Doing

CSAE Event Status

Due to the recently announced temporary suspensions of dine-in restaurants, gyms, theaters, clubs, casinos, and more, effective immediately and a ban on gatherings, effective immediately, of 50 people or more, as well as keeping the safety of our members in the forefront, the following 3 CSAE events have been postponed or cancelled:

March 23, Mix-It-Up Monday, Fort Collins (Postponed)
April 2, Lunch With Leaders (Cancelled)
April 27 Mix-It-Up Monday, Colorado Springs (Postponed)

Mix-It-Up Events

The March 23 Mix-It-Up in Fort Collins and April 27 Mix-It-Up in Colorado Springs have been postponed until a later date.

Lunch with Leaders

Currently, only the April 2 Lunch With Leaders has been cancelled.  The following safety precautions are being added to our monthly Lunch With Leaders events:

  • We will request host facilities to submit a list of their virus safety measures as it relates to our guests visiting and eating at their venue. These will be published at registration check in and along with registration information.
  • Everyone will be asked to use an abundance of good sense and caution and keep a positive attitude.
  • We will work with the facility to ensure adequate spacing between attendees.
  • We will provide hand sanitizer and tissues to all participants.
  • We will provide 100 percent refund to anyone who cannot come due to illness, travel restrictions, or related issues.
  • We will work with facilities to assure that all surfaces are disinfected including seating and shared space (including door handles, projector remotes, etc.).

Annual Conference

Members should register by March 31 to get the conference early bird.  If you are sick, a full refund will be given. If you have traveled to a restricted area and have concerns you can obtain a full refund.

Chairs are encouraged to meet virtually – not in person.

 

Here’s Help for Tackling COVID-19

 

CSAE, like the general public, is concerned about the growing spread of COVID-19 and the impact it will have in the US and Colorado. For those of us in the association meeting and events industry, there are numerous issues to consider and be prepared for. We are committed to sharing vital information and updates on how the coronavirus is impacting the association and meetings community.

There’s a lot of information out there, some good, some not so good. We’ve tried to sort through some of it that we have become aware of and are sharing it below. Please keep in mind that this information is not necessarily endorsed by CSAE.

On February 19, ASAE held a community conversation features a panel of association industry experts discussing the impact of COVID-19 on associations, including the current incidence of the virus worldwide, key steps to take to mitigate losses with hotel and vendor contracts and other legal considerations, and insurance options if events or trade shows must be cancelled or attendance is greatly diminished.
