Creating Alternative Revenue for Associations: Finding Opportunity Beyond the Traditional Model
Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Noon – 1 pm MT
Via Zoom - Link will be sent to you in the confirmation email after you register.
What if your association’s next significant revenue stream is already hiding in plain sight? Join Avi Olitzky, President and Principal Consultant of Olitzky Consulting Group, for an interactive conversation about moving beyond dependence on dues, conferences and traditional sponsorships to create a more diversified—and sustainable—revenue portfolio. Drawing on his work with associations and nonprofits, Avi will explore how organizations can uncover the value of assets they already have, including intellectual property, expertise, content, programming, partnerships, subscription-based offerings and technology-enabled services. Participants will discuss how to evaluate ideas for mission alignment, market potential and ROI; pilot new concepts without taking on unnecessary risk; and build leadership and board support for new approaches. Most importantly, the conversation will challenge associations to shift from simply “selling more” to creating greater value—using alternative revenue as a way to strengthen both financial sustainability and the member experience.
