CSAE's Fall CSAE’s Fall Future of Associations Virtual Symposium on Friday, November 7, 2025 is built for decision-makers and doers who can’t afford to wait for “someday.” Member expectations are shifting, volunteer pipelines are thinning, reputation risk is rising, and AI is rewriting workflows in months, not years. This Symposium will arm executives with strategic clarity and staff teams with practical next steps they can apply the very next day.

Nationally known Peggy Hoffman reframes how to activate real community and volunteering in “Beyond Belonging: Rethinking Community, Engagement & Volunteerism in Associations,” so you can boost retention and participation now.

National speaker and author Lida Citroën ( The New Rules of Influence ) shows leaders and frontline pros how to align personal, professional, and organizational brands to win trust and protect reputation in noisy, competitive markets.

And national expert Dan Streeter, CEO of Mission Fuel will show how to use the newest tools in ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini to grow visibility, reduce manual work, and create new income streams. You’ll see how AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is becoming the key to helping your organization and members get discovered in AI search results. Then, in real time, we’ll build a no-code custom app using a technique called vibe coding—training AI to create tools tailored to your association’s needs. This is practical, hands-on AI you can use right away to deliver more value to your members.

If you guide strategy, manage programs, or aspire to lead, this fast-paced, results-oriented symposium will help you stabilize today and get ahead of 2026 with the benefits of no travel, no downtime, and maximum impact.

Each session will be submitted for .75 CAE credits, and the breaks will feature our sponsors.

Beyond Belonging: Rethinking Community, Engagement &  Volunteerism in Associations
How members connect, contribute, and find meaning in associations is changing—quickly. Traditional models of engagement and volunteerism are being replaced by more flexible, personalized, and purpose-driven approaches. In this conversation, Peggy Hoffman invites association professionals to take a fresh look at how we build community and support member involvement in a digital-first world.

Together, we’ll explore how engagement can move beyond committees to collaborative experiences, how community can evolve from static groups to dynamic networks, and how volunteerism can reflect a range of meaningful contributions.

This session also offers a sneak peek into new research currently underway on the future of community in associations—research that will culminate in a report release in late November and two follow-up webinars in December. Come ready to explore findings, ask questions, and consider how thoughtful experimentation can shape the future of member connection.

The Future Is Perception: Mastering Influence to Advance Your Association

Influence isn’t accidental—it’s designed. You don’t grow, evolve, and sustain by staying static. Today, associations that thrive are trusted, agile, and influential.

Join internationally recognized reputation and personal branding expert Lida Citroën, CEO of LIDA360, for an energizing session on how association leaders and professionals can intentionally shape perception, earn trust, and drive impact with members, boards, sponsors, and partners.

Drawing on 20+ years advising global brands and executives, along with her newest thinking in The New Rules of Influence, Lida will show you how to take control of your narrative, show up with clarity and presence, and turn credibility into momentum for your mission.

Key Takeaways

  • Design your influence and that of your association: Clarify the reputation you need—and the messages, behaviors, and presence that earn it.
  • Future rules for executive presence: Forget the red power tie. Communicate like a leader and align your brand to mission and goals.
  • Personal branding fundamentals: Why everyone has a brand already, and how to make yours intentional and trustworthy.
  • Reputation in action: Practical steps to protect and grow your reputation online and in person (and tips for responding when it’s at risk).

10:15 - 10:30 am Break
10:30 - 11:15 am Dan Streeter, AI 2.0: Tools and Tactics Association Professionals Need to Know for 2026

AI is transforming every part of how associations work, communicate, and earn—and the pace is accelerating. This session focuses on what’s new, what matters, and what you can use right now. We’ll explore the most current tools inside ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini, showing how they can help associations increase visibility, streamline operations, and open new paths to revenue.

You’ll learn how Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is quickly replacing traditional SEO as the key to being found in AI-driven search results, helping your organization and its members stand out when people ask questions through AI platforms. You’ll also see, step-by-step, how to use vibe coding—a simple but powerful way to train AI to understand your association’s tone, data, and priorities—to build a live, no-code custom app right in the session.

This isn’t a theory. It’s a practical, interactive experience that shows how to apply AI immediately to improve engagement, simplify your team’s workload, and create new ways to serve and connect with members. You’ll leave with the skills and confidence to start building tools that reflect your organization’s unique expertise and voice.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand how Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) helps associations and their members get discovered in AI-powered search results across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot.
  2. Apply no-code tools and prompts to create custom AI-driven apps that automate tasks and generate new member or sponsorship revenue.
