  • Describe the journey we took
  • High-level overview of the steps to develop the certification
  • Current challenges
  • Q&A

The Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS) has a small staff and small budget, but members and their community desperately needed help. School administrators felt confident hiring most faculty and staff, but with technology evolving and encroaching every aspect of our lives – how do we know who has a strong handle on the technology leader role?

After some homework and creative thinking – including a graduate student research project resulting in a grant from the E.E.Ford Foundation – ATLIS was on its way to develop “the TLIS” (Technology Leaders in Independent Schools) certification. The program is now in its second year of activity and building momentum throughout the association and community.

During this roundtable, the facilitator will describe ATLIS’s journey and milestones along the way, as well as provide a high-level overview of the certification development process. After an update regarding the current status of the program, conversation and questions from participants will be welcomed.

Facilitator: Peter Frank, CAE; Senior Director of Certification and Operations, Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS)
